About Me

I have worked therapeutically with children and families for over twenty years.  My work with families and children has shown me that many emotional and relational difficulties, and the way children and families respond to them, have their roots in early experiences. This has lead to my training to work with parents and babies and young children.

I am a parent infant psychoanalytic psychotherapist, trained at the School of Infant Mental Health London graduated 2021

I have a master’s degree in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy from The Institute of Arts in Therapy and Education (IATE), graduated 2005, UKCP registered.

I am a qualified social worker, graduated with a BA hons in 1998.

​

I have experience of working therapeutically in a variety of settings including primary and secondary schools, the NHS in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), in the voluntary sector and in private practice. 

I have full professional indemnity insurance cover and an enhanced DBS certificate which means that I have been checked and cleared for working with children and young people. In addition to my private practice I am currently the child therapist for a local independent school and the volunteer parent infant psychotherapist for a local voluntary organisation.
